James has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the College of Santa Fe, Santa Fe New Mexico. James played on the baseball team, was active in all intramural sports, and took advantage of the great skiing and other outdoor activities in the great southwest. Upon graduation, James took a job with Mack truck as a material production control supervisor but after a few months Uncle Sam came knocking. James took a delayed entry program with the Army and ended up enlisting in the Army Security Agency, as a crypto security analysis and held a Top Secret Crypto Clearance. James completed his tour of duty in Anchorage, Alaska, where a fortuitous meeting afforded him the opportunity to join RCA Alaska Communications and work on one of the largest engineering projects ever undertaken, the trans Alaska pipeline. Jim's association with RCA launched a successful sales career in the telecommunications industry, spanning thirty years and taking him around the country. Jim worked for some of the largest datacomm companies in the country in various sales capacities before starting his own leasing company, MicroMania, and becoming a partner in DTE, a Value Added Reseller based on Long Island. DTE did very well in the late 80’s and through the 90’s but Jim ended his relationship with the company in 2000. Jim decided he wanted some new challenges and decided to take his career in a new direction. He wanted an industry that would provide a level of independence, growth, a new learning curve and one that would allow him to provide a high level of service he was used to providing his clients. James decided a career in real estate would best draw upon his past experiences and maximizes his capabilities.Jim is one of the most dedicated and committed real estate agents in the nation. Born and raised in the Caldwell, NJ area it was natural that Jim joined John Young Realty/GMAC to start his real estate career. John Young Realty is based in Caldwell and has served the West Essex area since the early 1900's. John Young Realty's affiliation with GMAC, which has over 1300 offices nation wide, provides a nation wide presence and part of GMAC's Global relocation program.James´ in-depth training includes special real estate courses such as Real Estate Practice, Economics, Financing, Property management, Legal Aspects, Real Estate Appraisal, Real Estate Investments, Exchanges, Taxation, and Creative Financing. James is a member of the Passaic County Board of Reality, The National Reality Association, the New Jersey Realtor Association and is a GMAC Premier Service provider.While still licensed in NJ, Jim moved his family to Beaufort, SC where he now works for Exit Realty of Beaufort.
